I don't know if I buy the 28psi and race gas for the evo. Well, on second thought, maybe it did have that much boost but was running at like 9:1 A/F, hence all the black smoke!

Personally I think there was alot more done to the camaro than they were leading on to. Or the evo didn't have as much done to it as they said. If the evo was runnin' 28 psi w/ race gas I'm sure it would've at least been closer than that.

yeah, lots of smoke from the evo, kinda doubting it was what they said it was....might be what the DRIVER of the evo was claiming, but probably not what was really going on. Still pretty impressive though

the camaro was an STS dealer, and it is the fastest STS car. hes claiming. i will go back and find the forum i found it in, but i think his sig said 512/540tq.
what HP should that evo have been? if around 460-90 the scenario seems believable.

Remember, an LS1 running 13 psi with a good tune is probably making well over 600 rwhp. Considering the increased drivetrain losses in the AWD Evo and its apparently poor tuning, the Camaro victory makes sense. I think he had some converter issues with the 510 hp pull that he fixed later.

with the very poor tuning job on the evo i can see the camaro winning. lets line him up with the ams evo and see if he wins though
