Ok my goal is to drive my car daily, but at the same time run with sti's and evo's. I know my car isnt real fast right now but i dont want insaine track times i just want to ocasionally scare the shit out of someone when they arent expecting it. is there any way that i can do this all motor on my f22b1 motor aside from swapping the h22 or going forced air. the problems im having right now is basically my out of the hole acceleration, alot can be atested to the automatic tranny. Level ten makes a torque stall converter and from what i hear its going to allow me to rev to 4000-4300 and dump drive to me this sounds like a new tranny bill cause ive always been told thats horrible on the tranny but yea let me know and thanks for all the help.

Headers (3hp 2lbs of tq), exhaust (2hp, 1 lbs of tq), intake (2 hp, 2 lbs of tq), and the most important is Nitrous. (depends on how big of shot) I have a buddy running 15's with an automatic accord. As for keeping up with STi's and Evos, you will need to do alot more work.

Ive got all the bolt ons
headers nuespeed
intake dac charger
exaust apexi worlds exhaust cat back
stock cat
aem pullies
thinking about a chip >> mixed feelingsthe suspension is taken care of though but i dont really want to run nos its only there when you push the button and i would prefer to spend the money on something thats always there
-
If you're talking about a chip from ebay....waste of money.
-
fuck ebay its kewl for some things like its where my car came from not complete like it is but yes i got something on ebay dont knock it i got a hell of a deal on a clean car.. back to the subject JET makes a chip or rather you send yours back to be programmed but i heard it destroys your fuel economy then theres the venom 400 which all that i can tell it does is slam the pedal when ever you go above 70 percent throttle position but i could be wrong.. thats why im here to learn
-
well your never gonna keep up with sti's or evo's w/o a turbo
-
I was thinking on doing new larger valves retainers springs the upper head work a port and polish all those nice shinny things. and then doing new pistons and sleeves if i need to someone inform me please do i need sleeves w/this motor. anyway pistons rods cams cam gears ignition and a vafc2 and see where im at from there
oh and no word on that level ten stuff huh?
will the torque stall help me any on this tranny ?its level three thats all i know i dont know shit about autos aside from they suck
-
yea whats a waste of time and money fixing up any car your never getting it back out again so what if i want to do it local shops can only benifit from my wanting to be semi unique.
-
In the end thats exactly what i will do but id like to hear from people who know what they are doing and can maybe tell me if i have misconceptions of what a part may do or something or if im wrong about something which is likely but i dont like going to shops and asking these questions cause they treat me like everyother ricer that rolls through their door and im a jackass or something its like wow how else do i learn so i came on here.

due what you want, but honestly, you will be wasteing a lot of time and money to get those performance figures. Mainly because It probably wont happen, at least that easily. If you really want to "run with the sti's and evo's", look into getting one, or (I hate to say this) a SRT-4.

about your level 10 tq converter, don't do it. i looked into doing an auto honda tranny in my ls. there is nothing else other then level 10. also the honda auto trannies are VERY weak to abuse. so i would look into doing a manual conversion for sure. now with the f22, your only hope with that engine is to do force induction. remember sti and evo have 300 hp and awd and weigh about as much as your 94 accord maybe a little more. so you have to squeeze a lot of hp out of that engine without any major power gainers (nos, turbo, supercharger). remember our honda engines don't respond well at all to bolt ons excluding the k20.
p.s. you might be different doing this, but hondas have been around awhile. everything that works has been done over and over again for a reason. on the other side there is also a reason not man if any have made a n/a f22 beast.

to the best of my knowledge, sohc can't do much without n2o or forced induction.
the dsm manifold only needs two holes drilled (correct me if i'm wrong) to fit the f22, which makes boosting it that much easier. in addition, your compression is 9.4-9.7, which should make it a pretty responsive turbo engine unless you try running something with a 7cm+ housing.
go talk to nick at sls about what your engine can take, he has taken a sohc, stock block civic to 11s -
talked to nick and brett today i think im going to try and find the euro r accord front clip and swap everything over
