              oooh... "look at me, i can use a dictionary and still sound like a fool."
              using obscure words doesn't make you look/sound intelligent... especially when you have to consult a dictionary to see what they mean and how to use them. it's real intellectual ability that comes from reading stuff like goethe, john milton and college textbooks for fun - failing that, one acquires knowledge from lots of experience (ie nick, troy, kevin, etc). perhaps you just have hobbies that are quite knowledge intensive (jim with his web-design). perhaps a combination of the aforementioned items will suffice to wrinkle your brain.
              do some learning and come back later when you think you can hold your own without hiding behind webster
