I might have to switch to Republican

According to this news story from CNN Mary Carey (porn actress) has been invited to attend a Republican fund raising event. Good thing the Republicans are all about family values and supporting the porn industry. If Clinton had pulled a stunt like this he would have been villified to no end, but when a good ol' boy from Texas does this, he's just trying to spice up the fund raising campaign.Carey was quoted as saying "I'm especially looking forward to meeting Karl Rove," Carey added. "Smart men like him are so sexy. I know that he's against gay marriage, but I think I can convince him that a little girl-on-girl action now and then isn't so bad!"
What a bunch of hypocrites! Where are their family values now? I thought that was what all you people were telling me was so great about Bush, he had strong moral values and was a good Christian? Since when is pornography considered a Christian act? If it is, I may have a better shot at heaven than I once thought.....

"you people"??? Aren't we all friends here?

-
What you physically do on earth has nothing to do with your shot at getting into heaven. At least not according to what I've read in the bible.
-
I don't know much about this story other than I read what the Clinton News Network reported. I did check that Ms Carey is a former porn star, who ran for Governor.
-
"If" it turns out that Ms Carey is still doing porn, I suppose this is way worse than getting your knob slurped by a intern in the Oval Office and then lying about it?

Yep, just trying to get a rise outta ya dave

I know, but it makes for interesting reading.

It was also covered by AVN's (adult video network) website as well as other mainstream websites, but I wanted wes's kids to be able to read this article too, so I didn't post that link.

Yes, Mary Carey is still doing porn. I personally don't have a problem with it or with her being at the fund raiser, it just doesn't seem like a "moral" thing for a president to do that ran on "family values" to have a porn star and her producer in attendance, I mean if they can ban Linda Coates and Tank McNamera from a rally in fargo, you'd think they could block someone this well known from a fund raiser.
I never once said that Clinton was right to get a hummer from someone other than his wife while in office (though I HIGHLY doubt he's the first/last president to do so). At the same time I don't think that this should have been a public matter. Yes, he did it at the office, but it still should have been between Bill and Hillary, not really anyone elses business. Whitewater would have been a much better target if they wanted to impeach him, he may well have been prosecutable for that. But just think if Bill had a pornstar appear at one of his fund raisers....the shit would still be flying.

The Christian faith is based on forgiveness. Shunning someone who sins is not moral since everyone sins all the time....Didn't Jesus walk with the prostitutes?
God bless George W. Bush
but we all know how much of the gov is based on religion. they say seperation of church and state for a reason. bush just had to pull something out of his ass to win and thats why he came up with "family values." after all, he did start the war and how christian is it to kill people?
edit: and as far as walking with prostitutes, i dont know. he did however save a prostitute from being stoned to death.

Hold on, the "progressives" are trying to prove a point!
Bush still won! And in 3 more years, another republican is gonna win!

Bush won before the balloting even started.
lol@ democrats thinking they won cause of a pre election demographic map.

read the constitution, nowhere in it does it say anything about seperating church and state. however, it does say that no president should be elected based on his religion
http://www.house.gov/Constitution/Constitution.html
article 6, clause 3
there's a difference between seperating the government from religion, and seperating religion from the public (i think that's what i mean). -

LOL, yeah who started this again! Chuck just couldn't let a sleeping dog lie.... Or maybe he just though the forum was getting a little boring.
bluejays: the US Government was founded on religious (christian) principles. Most of the founding papers have references to God. The separation of church and state is to ensure that there wasn't a Government sanctioned religion. ie: you have to belong to the Church of the United States of America.
Ok, now back on topic: what brand truck does GWB drive?

you want some interesting reading bluejays, check out john locke and thomas hobbes... hobbes ought to scare the pants off of you if you're not familiar with him

fyi, the ideas of locke and hobbes were very prevalent in the formation of the founding documents -
go to www.gutenberg.org and look up the names, free books because the copyrights have expired
