Hold on, the "progressives" are trying to prove a point!

Bush still won! And in 3 more years, another republican is gonna win!

but we all know how much of the gov is based on religion. they say seperation of church and state for a reason. bush just had to pull something out of his ass to win and thats why he came up with "family values." after all, he did start the war and how christian is it to kill people?
read the constitution, nowhere in it does it say anything about seperating church and state. however, it does say that no president should be elected based on his religion
        http://www.house.gov/Constitution/Constitution.html
        article 6, clause 3
there's a difference between seperating the government from religion, and seperating religion from the public (i think that's what i mean).

LOL, yeah who started this again! Chuck just couldn't let a sleeping dog lie.... Or maybe he just though the forum was getting a little boring.

bluejays: the US Government was founded on religious (christian) principles. Most of the founding papers have references to God. The separation of church and state is to ensure that there wasn't a Government sanctioned religion. ie: you have to belong to the Church of the United States of America.

Ok, now back on topic: what brand truck does GWB drive?

Yep, we keep getting deeper in doggy doo as we get farther away from the principles that the founding fathers based the country on.

you want some interesting reading bluejays, check out john locke and thomas hobbes... hobbes ought to scare the pants off of you if you're not familiar with him 😉
fyi, the ideas of locke and hobbes were very prevalent in the formation of the founding documents
