The guys running Michelin tires weren't running because there tires couldn't take the speed around one of the corners. SO, they requested a chicane be placed in that corner, but the Bridgestone, or the Ferrari guys didn't want to do that because it wouldn't be a points race. So basically, the Michelin guys sat there while the few bridgestone guys racked up points.

It was a pretty big joke to watch. But I still did watch.

Same here, I would be pissed if I forked over half a grand to watch it live and I saw 6 cars running. It's like going to a football game and each team is playing with three guys.

Damn it, I missed the broadcast. I was going to watch it this morning, but instead help my gf paint. By what I am reading on this forum, Indy/U.S. is making a bad name for FIA and Formula 1. If channels like CBS and ABC starts to televise F1 races, Nascar would be out of the picture.

yeah i dunno man, im not a huge fan of nascar. Really it would be nice to Speed channel move away from the heavy nascar influence. Not nearly enough of the import scene on that channel.

buncha guys driving in a circle, buncha guys driving in a straight line, buncha guys taking curves, it's all a race, I can see the safety aspect, would any of you run michelins if they gave out at 85? I wouldn't simply because I drive at least that on interstate and I am not willing to take that risk. I know it is dangerous to race, but if I know that there is a good chance that my tires will fail, I'm done with that shit. Could they not run because they were sponsored by michelin or was it a smart person idea not to run because it was unsafe?

whats amazing is that all but 6 drivers were running bridgestones.

sooooo lucky I wasnt at that race. I would have had to find comfort in the arms of brazilian hottie.
