i would like to snap shots of everything i see, but that is just not possible as i would miss alot of race action. so i hit and miss. then there are those cars that just grab me and force me to shoot them. Dave's is one of them.
one of my goals for this summer is to catch something launching with the front in the air. a couple inches would work but i am wanting a little more. i am also wanting to catch the rear sidewalls wrinkling as they bite the launch pad.
i know this is totally possible, but not sure if i will be successful on a street legal day. though i think that blue Camaro was dang close to airborne. he sure had some serious body flex going on that is for sure.
but i do need to get in front of the lights to have a better angle.
just was not up for that this past sat. i just wanted to experience some action and get some shots. so mayb next time i can try. or mayb i just need to come out to a regular event and see if i can't catch those items. Not a problem Dave on the pics. the first time you rolled up i got ready and let the camera just go crazy. love the multishot setting.

i was taken back a little by that green gran prix. he did not seem to load the suspension as he did last year at the line. wonder why that is?
but he sure has a mean car there. not much to look at but it will take you if you are not ready.
that camaro reminds me of the 70 ragtop chevelle i saw run a couple times last spring or was it the fall before that? i dunno but he ran 10 flat with that ragtop and it flexed like a mother and i wet myself both time when i saw him launch. too bad i did not have the camera i have now back then. so i hope i get to see him again.Monty
