I was driving the VR6 GTi, traded that off. It was a 2001 with 174hp and the 12valve head and I still beat the SH with (unless I'm mistaken? Maybe..) 195hp. The new VR6's have a 24valve head and make 201hp. Anyways if the SH and my Vdub meet, let's go again. That was a fun race.

Hey RX8ownage im runnin 16.9's and 16'8s in my civic, im still slow. Im not a 17 second civic.

haha. yea i was talking about gravedigger making fun of the cars who have vtec that he can beat but the cars that would walk him he'd put his tail back between his legs if he got lined up with one.

Ok. Better yet, i can do alot of shit on cars. the only thing i have performed is a motor swap, rebuild, or tranny work on my own. Other than that ive done alot. Today i removed my friends front bumper cover on his civic, took out that stupid snorkel and box. and realined his bumper after the accident it was in. I know its a simple task, but i did it in about 20 min.

reminds me of the 4 door honda out on 45th one night in a light rain. was sitting at cenex with a couple buddies when a civic on 18s (maybe larger), body kit, big wing, name it..... stopped a little short behind a dodge pickup. both vehicles jump and everything stops...then plop, the front bumper drops off. We laughed for 5 minutes while they talked quick, and threw the bumper into the back seat and took off.

We beat a 12 valve one like yours with exhaust and intake by a good 3-4 cars at 80 the other night. When the cop went to pull us over that basturd kept on going and got away. Fudge should have left him behind.

Left to right (from the driver's perspective) it went white prelude, silver VW, black tiburon, it was on 13th avenue going west, right before or at the intersection before I-29. believe me, i was the VW guy.
I said it had 174hp at the wheels, about 200 at the crank. Assume somewhere in the neighborhood of 13-15% driveline loss and the crank number roughly equals 200. I dont doubt you beat a VR6 around 80mph, they're a much more powerful, torquey motor down low than in the high rpm's...was it a current body style (MK4) or older? I've seen a black lowered MK3 GTi VR6 running around with a dual-tip exhaust, was that the one?
