fucking window chalk
-
So i was closing at mcdonalds the other night and came out to find my car covered in car chalk, thought nothing of it and cleared a patch for me to see out of and drove home. Was going to tell the neighbor girl (her and her cousin and friend did it) she got to wash it because id just spent about 4 hours the previous day washing/claybar/waxing it.
This is what it looked like

Long story short. Took it to a car wash, when i came out, the painted surfaces looked untouched by the carwash and the windows were almost clean but still have a haze and some chunks on them. I then brought it home and sprayed it and started scrubbing with a towel/sponge as hard as possible and it barely came off, and when i finally got it off, it left a yellow residue or possible stain in the paint.
my question, PLEASE......PLEASE tell me there is an easier way to get this off and to not have it stain my finish because i do not want to have to tell them that they get to pay for a new paint job. It took about 10 minutes of hard scrubbing to remove half of the X on my hood.

good ole prep solvent should do the trick. make sure your using microfibers and not regular towels.
by the way, happy to see you got my message

Thanks kevin. It took me a while to think of 5 different messages to put on his car.

i bought some clear coat safe tar/bug remover and that works. She will be cleaning/claybar/waxing it when she gets back from soccer this weekend.

It's just too bad those GT's back seats aren't any bigger.

hey, if it can be done in the back of a dsm it can be done in the back of a gt. lol
Oh my. I don't think I can even fit in the back seat of my car let alone get some dirty work done back there. -
haha actually it was 3 girls total that did it, but my neighbor is taking most of the blame from me. Its a 2 sided thing because it feels good to know someone would take time to do that, but i mean......on paint? especially when she knew id spent so much time cleaning it up prior. Oh well, now she gets to learn how to use a claybar and wax tomorrow or monday. Pics?

EDIT: when you fold down the back seats you can fit 2 dogs and luggage back there so who knows what else fits.
