Paid To Promote

I've noticed that Jim has added this paid to promote add on to the site. While I know that owning/operating a web site isn't cheap, this drives me up a wall. I'll be reading a thread and all ther sudden it brings me to the home page. This started to happen right when this was added. I think that there should be a little fund raiser for the site tro help Jim run or operate the site. I realize that sounds a little off kilter, but I would even chip in a little if I knew that it would help. It by no means should be rquired, but a voluntary donation. Alot of people use this site and I feel we should give back a little. Like I said, this sounds a little off but, I want everyones opinion on this

I agree, i hate it, it slows the site down so much. It also causes the page to scroll back to the top every once and a while.

I was wondering when the new ads would be mentioned. I use Firefox in Ubuntu Linux, and I block cookies from all advertising servers. Over two days I must've blocked cookies from over 15 ad servers on Fargostreet.com. Sorry for bypassing the ads, Jim, but they're fucking annoying.

I block everything too, but it does make it difficult to type a sentence when you want to do something, just typing this I had to restart 10 times because it took away my cursor, I may be broke but if we all chip a buck, that's a lot of money. How about 2?

Its ok, I'm not bitching about the cost to run the site, it ends up being like $20 or so, I spend more then that on Fast food in a day....

Ads really dont bring in much revenue, it was like $2.50 for that shit so fuck that...

I actually don't mind donating a little hear or there. I use the site quite frequently. I think the others that frequent this site should give a little.
