Hicks = Shit. Police = Shit.

I really don't think it's a racial issue. What did you want him to do about it? You have no proof they keyed your car, and as for the pushing, you could always file some assult charges, but they aren't going to take someone into jail for pushing. If you want, I can take a look at the scratches and see if I can buff them out. If I can't do it, the guys at SLD might be able to.

It was a bunch of hicks in a chevy van that wanted a little asian kid to move his vehicle before they rammed into it. Then they pushed him and keyed his vehicle. The scratches weren't in there before he ran inside but they were there after he went inside. It was the responsibility of the police officers to investigate further, they should have got the keys from the hillbillies that were in the room and checked for remnants of paint on the keys. In their failure to do so they did an incomplete investigation of an alleged crime. I can guarantee you that had it been a $80000 mercedes owned by a banker, doctor, etc... the cops would have handled the matter differently. Since they handled it the way they did I would have to assume it was because the individual did not appear to have the ability to press the issue through further legal means. Since this individual was also of a minority I am assuming that they made this judgement in part due to his ethnic background, therefore it would fall under a racial prejudice and the officers should be reprimanded accordingly. All of this could have been avoided had they treated Mr. Ross with the same type of respect and decency that you would treat a more well to do caucasion.

Paint transfer on the keys, Have them check it. it probably was racial, or "Rice"ial, I know you're not ricey but it could be. File assault charges, you probably can't get their names from the hotel, but the cops can, and you can Identify them, you do not need to wait to call, call now, If they swing at you or threaten in a way like that it is assault, if they actually touch you it's assault and battery, if you push an officer, that's what they would charge you with. Are there security camera's at the hotel? Ask to speak to the patrol supervisor, do not let this go away! THis is bullshit, I believe that we can all call to inquire about the situation and how it was handled, call the news stations, they may want a story. I'll call and ask for a comment about it.

im seeing an obvious problem with the fargo police dept. and its not just against people with imports or customized cars.

^^^^^^^^^^^^Dude just got 11 years for stealing Rod Stewarts viper, this is punishable shit!!!!!

Chuck get this on the air if you can. That's fucked up that this happened, and even more fucked up that the cops refused to do anything about it especially while the people WERE STILL THERE!! Jim I'm sorry this happened to you man, wow.

I do agree that if he were a well to do asian, he would have been treated the same as a well to do caucasion. I think it has more to do with his financial status than his race.

Fargo street needs to all come out and support this too. Has anyone checked the police logs to see what's there?

So the cops didn't even go talk to the hicks? Thats fucked up I am sorry to hear jim

Do you think they would have checked it out more if I called the cops? I think they would have and I drive a rice burner too, heck mines ricier than jims. I was serious about the ACLU, contact them and see what happens....just be ready for some huge publicity.

Let's also be honest - Most of your guys car's are flagged, bad. If you don't think local authorities know you cruise around on a religious basis, your dead wrong. They will not like you, just for the pure fact that you are flagged and will be watching your every move.
Just one of the things you'll have to accept.
-
-
^^^Agreed^^^^ good Idea, we may be flagged but there is no need for shit like this.
-
it's one thing for them to not like us cause of what we do... but when it comes to someone assulting someone and vandalizing one's property, they should have SERIOUSLY done something about it! get that shit on the radio! something really needs to be done about that... I thought cops are served to protect!!!! what the hell happened there!!! I'm so sorry about what happened to your car!!
and about that Duncan guy that has that many charges on him.. how the hell can they just let a man like that out on the streets?? I thought we were supposed to proctect the children and ourselves, but how are we supposed to when we have pshyco freaks like him out there!!!! -
email sent to KFGO, lets hope that they can get this on the air in the near future.

I've heard nobody mention video cameras. Most motels have video cameras of some sort in the lobby or out front somewhere, mostly for use in robbery situations but if they record the activities there should be tape somewhere for the cops to look at.
In defense of police, my dad was on a police force for more than twenty years here in New Rockford, and he gave everbody there fair shot. If you got a ticket you deserved it. He became a cop because his dad was one also and after also serving twenty years in the military. On the other hand we do have a cop in town here that fits Jims profile to a tee. He was a nerd that was picked on and made fun of in high school, I was one of his few friends, and now he's a cop, I take that back, He's an asshole with a badge. Just last night while most peolpe where celebrating the fourth he was writing tickets. I think in all this last weekend he wrote probably between 20 and 30 tickets and this is town of lees than 2000 people. Even the other cops hate him, he's always kissin' the sheriffs ass who's just as worthless. How many cops do you know that can get 2 DUI's and still have a job.
Back to fargo cops. I've had my run in with them also. And I must say I left those situations in a pretty pissy mood. I was givin a care required by a west fargo cop who didn't even have a good explanation or reason to gove me one, made me lose my license on that one, just 2 weeks but it still sucked, and another time I broke one of my CV shafts and parked infront of the US Bank in downtown fargo, one of friends was lookin at the signs to make sure we weren't parked in a no parking zone and a cop pulled up and very sternly said "WHAT ARE YOU DOING" so we explained what happened, needless to say he didn't offer any help at all
not a ride, no offer to call a cab, nothin' he was a serious prick. We eventually got a ride from another friend, but whole situation still sucked cause my car sat down there all night and it apparently rain like bitch that night and flooded downtown because my floor boards had water in them. One bad situation to another all because a cop decided to be prick.
Well, I'd say that's my 2 cents but I think I got a quarter outta this one.
