Even in a small town.........

When I lived in the twin cities a dude got stabbed 70 times in the chest with a screw driver... it was 2 houses away from me. The guy that stabbed him was his former roomate, and he did it because he wanted the guys cat or some shit like that. Pretty fucked up shit though watching the cops run out of the house puking when your 12yrs old. The guy apparently sat there for a few days before anyone knew and had let out a good stench.
Thats fucked up... but killing an 80yr old man is pretty fucked up too.

I'm not sure, I think there was money involved, the guy the got killed was loaded, The assailant used to be a teacher here in New Rockford, he's a mental case, has some serious issues.

I recently lost all faith in teachers having worked with a substitute teacher that works in the Moorhead School District last week. Part of my everyday job requires that I use a golfball retrieval stick (you know the twist and lock stick that is used to retrieve golfballs from water hazards, etc...) w/ a magnet taped to the end (I know, sounds weird, but it works great for my job of testing fire alarms). Anyways, this guy that I was working with COULD NOT GRASP THE CONCEPT OF TWIST AND LOCK. I literally watched him spend 20 minutes trying to figure out this stick, he figured out how to unlock it to extend it, but for the life of him could not figure out how to lock it again (takes a 1/4 turn clockwise of the upper extensions to lock it.) He finally gave up after 20 minutes and told me the stick was apparently defective. 8 seconds later and I had the stick at full extension and handed it back to him. And here is where it gets worse, he tests the device and unlocks the extensions to collapse the stick and when we got to the next device he couldn't figure it out again.....yeah, this guy is teaching the youth? No wonder most of todays youth are worthless (not you guys, just speaking in general). Oh, forgot to mention this guy is 34 years old and actually golfs and HAS an extension stick EXACTLY the same as this one in his golf bag, never used it though.

Not all teachers are bad but I do remember a few that should not have been teaching. I was thinking of becoming a teacher but there is no money in it.

No, not all are bad, I was fortunate to have had one of the best Math/Science teachers in the country (IMHO) at Harvey, ND. Delise Kirkeide was by far the biggest influence in my highschool career and actually made it fun/worthwhile to show up for physics, unfortunately the Harvey School district is run by a bunch of assclowns and treated her so poorly that she gave up teaching entirely and now works with her husband on their farm.

It is sad how mis-managed schools are due to lack of funding and what not.
-
I don't even think it was funding, just a bunch of jackasses running the school board. She probably brought more money into that school by applying for grants, etc... than anyone else in that school ever has. Too bad they couldn't appreciate what they had.

His name was Mark something-or-another (I tried to ignore him) I know he did some subbing for the elementary schools mostly, but he said he's done some highschool subbing as well.
