Stereo Install

Some new shots of my stereo install and some preliminary shots of my front bumper

Jun Front Bumper (had to be modified as noticeable by the holes that show part of the FMIC
Similar Shot as the one above
Stereo Install view from Drivers Side
As above, but from passenger side
Shot from directly behind....notice all the usable trunk space yet, that was a key feature I wanted to keep, doesn't do much good to have a car that I take to shows that doesn't still have room for luggage. -
like the install.
what is your impression on that PG amp?Monty
-
Always been a PG fan, built the system w/ the entry level PG stuff to prove a point, that you don't HAVE to have the most expensive stuff for it to bump decent and sound decent.
-
i am an old school PPI fanboy. first gen PC series amps and older.
i just picked up a PG XS4300 for my dad. seems like a solid feature filled amp. should fit the bill nicely.reason i asked is that on some of the car forums it is really a mixed response to like or hate the new stuff. so i thought i would ask someone who is actually using it.
i have the amp, but i still need a single 10 and some speaks.
what size of box, power and such for the entry subs. oh and of course coil config and price.
can it be ported too?Monty

old school PPI was the shit too, PC and Art Series both rocked. Loved the old flat piston subs as well. My favorite amp has got to be the Phoenix Gold MPS-2240, IASCA rating of 2.4 wattsx2 channels, produced like 635 watts RMS @ 1/4 ohm w/ 14.5 volts.

Part of the problems that people are having with the new PG amps are related to the first batch that made their way into the US from China (PG no longer makes amps stateside). They had loads of problems and most were sold to "online wholesale companies" and "ebay shops" w/ no warranty. This hurt the PG image pretty bad, but their newer stuff is decent again, but nothing is like the oldschool amps of yesteryear IMHO.

and i thank you for the linkage.
PG was good for the low ratings.
