Moorhead Radiator bitching..
-
Two days ago my timing belt picked up a bolt, and beat the shit out of my timing gear and belt. We toed it home, then I started taking it apart. I dident have the tools to change my timing belt so I decided to bring it to my dad's mechanic ( Who I have never liked ). This mechanic owns Moorhead Radiator over by sunset lanes in north moorhead.
We got the car there I purched a timing belt from Napa for $45 bucks, and asked him to install it.
The next day he calls me said my car was done, and it cost's $150 for him to fix it..
I was pissed $150 in just LABOR for a timing belt! So it cost $195 for a timing belt to be installed. It seemed too high but I just decided not to bitch and took off.
When I got to work I noticed that there were two 1.5 feet scraches across my roof.. He dropped a tool and dragged it all the way across my BRAND NEW PAINT JOB! Then I looked at my hood, my windshield sprayer nozzles we sticking up funny.
He had taken them out ( I have no idea why?? ) and broke the clips, and installed them wrong.. Also my radiator over flow tank was not installed and had melted on my headers..
This is the same man that installed a civic clutch in my CRX!!! Fuck him, and none of you go to Moorhead Radiator!
Does it sound fair to demand he pay for the damage done to my roof so I can get it repainted?

Well, depending on if you have AC and power steering in your car, that might even be a good deal on the price of the labor. The timing belt alone in that car books for 2.1 hours, if it has power steering, add 0.4 hrs, and if it has AC add another 0.5 hour. So depending on what they charge per hour, you could have got a good deal, or else it was probably the proper charges.

He's totally liable, that's what shop insurance is for, if he has any..... if not you'll have to sue the business.
