Throttle rotor?
-
Does anybody have one of these on there car? If so do they really work? There suppose to increase your throttle response by 50%. Are they worth it or are they just a waste of money?
This one is made by weapon-r and sells for $35.

The WR Throttle Rotor is Computer Designed to reduce the turning ratio of your throttle body rotor, to increase throttle response and reduce the time it takes your car to get to FULL THROTTLE by 50%.
It sounds like it's a hardware version of the Venom 400 computer. Both of these are probably nearly worthless. If you want to accelerate more quickly, just push the pedal down faster. At least this part doesn't cost hundreds of dollar like the Venom 400.

What about on the 05 mustang where there is no throttle cable? All it has is a computer sensing throttle response, I think the comp may help in this situation, but I do not know.

I can see where a product like this would work. Similar to how some short throws work. I guess if you felt like your pedal travel was rediculously long this would be a nice product.
**The '05 Mustang isn't the only vehicle made these days with an electronic TB

drive by wire is officially the stupidest thing EVER! talk about shitty throttle feedback. I guess it will be better tuned as the technol;ogy increases, but with like mini's and other DBW cars, the pressure of the pedal feels like poop.
I think i would rather have a whistler tip WOO WOOOOOOO

the pedal pressure is different? not in any ive been in...
some manufactures have a bit different throttle programming, BMW seems to be the best that i have felt. overall the system responds pretty well, and will adapt to your driving.
i like it. one less thing to get out of the engine compartment.
also, they have been around since the mid/late 90's. i believe the technology is pretty far along.... -

Other than the lag, which people try to tell me is caused by the pre-cats in the mazda6 and some emissions garbage the computer is doing, I honestly can't tell a difference. In fact, the pedal is still hooked up to a cable of sorts
