I'm surprised that people overlook detailing the wheel wells. The people that won didn't forget to detail the wheel wells...or under the sideskirts. But yeah, some of the cars there were hardly what I'd call clean whereas some were immaculately clean. Would have been nice if they'd have given out trophies for 2nd & 3rd in each manufacturer class so more people would have known how they did in comparison.

Editing out my drama. Alucard seems like a good guy and my comments about his car were uncalled for. Not saying I agreed with every decision the judges made, just that he didn't deserve to have his car ripped on by me for no apparant reason.
As for me winning....its about damn time I beat Shane :p:D:p Nah, I like Shanes car a lot and could have easily accepted defeat to his WRX Wagon any day of the week....but since I didn't WOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

who looks underneath? Judges....they run their fingers along the fender liners and under the car. If they find dirt, they dock you.

well trying to compete against Shane for newer stuff would be like trying to compete against Stan Orness in classics you'd have to go into debt so far your grand kids would be paying off the car... most just don't have that kind of cash to actually do what we'd love too, to our cars... but it's great to see people like shane and stan into cars so we can at least see some of our idea's in real life

I registered, and that dude is getting his asshole ripped open as soon as I get verified. I posted under 97jeeps account a couple times last nigh, and I got deleted.-best mitsu-stacked
-best acura-stacked
-best hyundai-wrong choice
-best honda-toss up, tha yellow hatch was ridiculous. -
bla bla bla bla bla....you guys won best team display. why all the bitching bout mnsc having the best cars there. its one persons opinon. imo, ground assult had the best club/group cars there. i told joel and tony that and i am a SR. member from MNSC. tony is one hell of a guy, spoke to him for a while and was hoping everyone on the GA crew was gonna be somewhat like him. but i was wrong, some of you are crybabies who dont understand that its in the hands of the judges. i know some of you have been in the show circuit for some time now and understand that decisions sometimes will not go your way and you have to live with it. it all comes down to this, you either like it or you dont compete. its as simple as that.
after i won best acura. some of your crew came by to check out the car, didnt say much of anything to me except someone asked "you've got much done to the engine"? that was bout it. mark has one hell of a car, i didnt get a chance to meet him(didnt find him around his car), but i dont make the decisions. the judges do. i've learned that 2yrs ago and would hope mark did too.
thank god, the judges were independent, otherwise you guys would have said its been ridged.
spoke to one of your affilates and found out that away from the internet life, you guys are pretty cool hard working guys who just love cars the same as me. so i was surprise to hear that, i took you guys for a bunch of rich kids. anyways, i know you guys have good strong valid points so bring them on, just be mature bout it and i'll stick around. just wanted to clear a few things up. -
i feel i lost to a less of a show car then mine down there, but i understand that it isnt my opinion, it is the judges, and that is just going to make me bust my ass that much harder this winter to come back to a show where he is present with all 4 of his cars and win that best mitsu award, his 3000gt's where pretty nice though.

Building show cars is like running in the special olympics. Even if you win, you're still retarded.

Haha, J/K guys.

-
LMAO ^^^
its cool to hear attitudes like that scott. i've had my fair share of losses i felt i shouldnt have lost, all you can do is come back stronger.

welcome to fargostreet Alucard, hope to see you guys at future shows as well. You're right, its the judges, not the competitors that make the decisions.
