The copy I downloaded turned out great, and was able to convert and get on a dvd to watch in almost all dvd players. Problem is I can't find a decent DVD copier or converter that is free. I found one that was working, now it wont.

actually, I downloaded a avi file of it, about 750-800 MB, from a bittorrent, which took awhile. Then I found a AVI to DVD converter on Downloads.com, most of them use what is called a "watermark" which is annoying, but I found one that lets you use it 5 times. Only bad thing is that you cant make multiple copies with it at once, takes like 3 hours to make one copy because it first converts it to a ISO file to burn to a dvd, then it burns it depending on how fast your dvd burner is. Now im contemplating on buying a avi to dvd program of something, but they cost in the $40+ range.

if you save the iso.. why dont you just burn that instead of converting it every time?

yeah thats exactly what i was thinking? I have roxio platinum or whatever and it burns an AVI file and it was free from a bittorrent...i dont see what your worried about buying a program when you can just get a cracked version? your already download movies and shit why not just download programs too?

My bad, I meant IFO files, I can't figure out how to get any of my other programs to burn it. I have Roxio 6, but it doesn't recognize the files in the location.

Depending on what version you downloaded:

The mVCD version or the DivX version, you can convert both.

There is a free program called TMPEGEnc, it will allow you to convert the file to MPEG2 from any format (as long as you have the codecs installed), and then you can just user Nero or something of that nature to burn it to a DVD.

If it's already in DVD Format you'll need to rip the VOB's, and encode with something like Flask.

Or if you want to make a straight backup, try using DVDShrink.

Thanks Jim, I forgot about some programs I had on my computer.

Anyways, anyone still interested in a copy to view, either pm or email me.
