I am going to be selling a car. It was previously owned by a friend, who did not drive it much. It is a red mk3 Jetta with the VR6. It also has a suspension kit (60 mil fk drop - whatever that means), chip, and full exhaust system done (tektoniks sp?). The car also has factory options such as power locks, windows, heated black leather seats, power moonroof, bose stereo. The car has 135,000 miles on it. I personally like this car better than the 99.5 mk4 VR6 I had this spring. The car was autocrossed once to see what it was like, and proved to be a very capable contender. Going to advertise it for $5000/bo in carsoup. PM me here or on TCS if you are interested in the car, I have a few pics of it as well. This car, as it sits, should break into the high 14s, but it has not been down a strip officially. It was faster than my Mustang when it was stock, which garnered times of 14.9x. The corners are where this car excels, however.

Car is located in the Twin Cities at the moment, however, I could drive it somewhere between Brainerd and Fargo if someone has a legitimate interest in looking at and purchasing this car.

I am going to take a bunch of pics of it sometime this week. For now, all I have is this pic, the car is the leftmost Jetta. Yes, this reveals my fettish for red Jettas.

P.S. Did I post this in the wrong forum? If so, any mod is welcome to move it.

I don't think Jesus cares about how many red jetta's you can count in the picture.

Any interest in this car? Remember, I would be willing to drive it somewhere between Brainerd and Fargo for a showing. This thing is quicker than any v-tec with comprable work into it. Throw a turbo on this thing and enjoy an instant 300whp, or simply keep it as is for a refined psydo-luxury commuter/sleeper. Can't tell you how many 4.6 stangs this thing has surprised. VR6s, though somewhat rare, are sought after in the euro car community for a reason.

However, I know the first person to take this thing around a cloverleaf will be the one to say, "how much do you want?". The handling capabilities of this car are unreal. I would like to see this car go to someone who would take care of it, and perhaps run it through the occasional autocross, which is what this car is set up for.

why does everyone think those are race engines?

Vr6's are actually the motor to go for in the VW applications. Yeah I know it is odd to choose the N/A application over the FI.

Yes, but there is absolutely no reason you have to keep a vr6 n/a 😄

everyone probably likes the 1.8t cuz the turbo bt overall the vr6 is better then that if you ask me. Dont know for sure. Just turbo the vr6 like he said and it would be one nice ride. Bump for a clean looking car

Bump. Just put it on carsoup for $4950. Still willing to give a Fargo person a deal on this one, just for the amusement factor of hearing about it slaughtering all the local cars.
