Hey I bought it from him just haven't had the chance to pay him yet.
I really haven't considered a motor swap yet because of how long it takes to get a JDM unit.

See now that is the thing. I won't have that kind of money until Christmas break. But I don't think anyone is going to buy my car so I have to sell some parts to make payments. -
dude, just rebuild the motor and your problem would be solved, unless you don't want to go throught the pain of having a DSM.

I have not been able to dig into it yet as I was in a scramble to find a car to quickly replace it with. My money right now is on the timing belt shredding or whatever they do.On why I didn't buy the EVO I figured I would have to work at Wal-Mart which is now not the case. If I would have had to work at Wal-Mart I would have had to work a shit load of hours to afford it. But my job now pays pretty well so I only have to work weekends.
I was wondering on how I was going to afford it while I was going to school in Fargo also but I have that figured out too.

hey chris if you broke the timing belt you wanna just buy a head? or you should just rebuild your head for like $100...look at what happened to erics dsm...i told him it was the head(bent valve) and what do you know it was...burgess got a good deal on that car...but eric ended up ok cause his parents didnt want him to have a dsm anymore

See that is the thing that worries me. My mom wants me to just get rid of it because it does give a lot of headaches but I do have a reliable back-up car now. How the hell would you fix the head for a $100? Now that I have the back-up car I think I will just get the head done right with some P&P and some oversized valves maybe some new cams too.;)

You pull the head and take it to the machine shop, and they pressure test it and replace the bent valves. It usually ends up pretty cheap. You might want to have it resurfaced right away while it's there, IF you do it. If not can I have the engine? Also if you're interested in a ported 1G head, I have one, PM me if you're interested.
