The World of Warcraft MMORPG (Massively-Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) is completely different than the RTS (real time stategy) warcraft game Joel...so their disc's won't work for you. You probably knew that, but I figured I would post it up for the rest of the world to see...

yep i knew that, just that most people who play WoW have a copy of ROC somewhere just layin around.

I got WoW and I have been playin for about a week and I am super addicted. I have a lvl 10 Gnome Warrior.

im mostly playing my 60 dwarf hunter, but i also have a 38 tauren shaman and a 38 troll rogue along with whole assload of chars under 20. everyone come play on whisperwind!

blah, I got the little trial thing from best buy a couple weeks back. Too cartoony and I really dont like the feel of the game.....Vanguard Saga or Heroes on the other hand is GREAT, even in Beta

Shoulda joined EQ2 instead, at least there I could have helped you out (as could, Schulzy, Stephen, Amos Moses Jr., and a bunch more people that I know locally).

I have no idea how WoW can sustain its number of players. The game is not user friendly, the graphics are so-so at best (unless you like cartoons, then its fine) and it offers nothing that EQ2 doesn't do as well or better. And yes, I have played both, just got done w/ a 2 week trial of WoW and was left utterly unimpressed.

Vanguard Saga of Heros Beta on the other hand is better than either of the two live games of EQ2 or WoW.

yeh.... i have a 60 rogue... and server archimonde and im bored of wow... well the point i played is to get to 60... and when ur 60 wut else to do but try to get into a good guild and get new gear and go pvp well wuts the point after u get all those done?

For EQ2 the game doesn't ever start reaching its potential until you are higher level (55+), there is more content geared for high end than there is for low levels (thats not to say that low level fun doesn't exist, there is plenty). This is most evident in the Echoes of Faydwer expansion that was just released. They unleashed a whole new continent and did not increase the level cap from its current 70. There is a new achievement points system that allows you to customize your higher end character and, from what I have heard, the game has provisions for at least 250 levels. If you want to try EQ2 its only $9.99 at best buy for EQ2 classic, or $40 for EQ2 classic and all of the expansions. Gameplay is $14.95/mo or 21.95/mo if you get the access pass that allows you to play EQ, EQ2, Star Wars Galaxies, Matrix Online, Planetside, and Vanguard (when it becomes available). As always the first month of gameplay is included with purchase of game. After that you can pay via game card (available at best buy and other gaming places) as well as online payment via credit card.

If you are not happy with WoW I suggest trying EQ2. I am on the Everfrost Server under the names Necrotiq and Iksalama.
