My new drug....
Started playing last night, lost about a hundred bucks. Practiced up all day today, went back and took a little bit of their money, but not much. Bar of choice is Sportsbar...and Playmakers is alright. Just curious if anyone else has the itch.

I'm deep into blackjack....played very often for many years. I have played $25 hands in the Bellagio and played the $2 hands in Mahnomen... I have a bit of advice for all that are turning 21 and 'getting the itch'.... Learn the odds, learn what a dealer bust card is, ALWAYS HIT A 16 WHEN THE DEALER IS SHOWING A 7,8,9,10,OR ACE ALWAYS.... The biggest problem with kids playing blackjack is they go off their instincts.... And if you decide to sit at a table where people are playing and winning (cause they know the odd's/rules), and play off your instincts you will get cained outside. Don't sit at the last seat of a blackjack table unless you know alllll the odd's, what to do in every situation, and know how to 'take a card for the table'....
A big help that got me started and informed on blackjack is most places around town will openly (if you ask) give you a card that shows every hand and what to do.... Get one, learn it front to back, go back and ALWAYS PLAY THE ODDS!!!! Splitting and doubling is where you make your money, so don't be scared to double down when you are showing a 4 and a 3 and the dealer has a 6....
I have won thousands, and lost thousands and through all the highs and lows the odds have always been the best way.... remember though, even playing the odds at the table, you will ALWAYS have the worst odds otherwise the game would be pointless..... The house is always one step up on ya

p.s. - MISTAKE (Mystic) Lake has always taken my money, I will never play there as I have already supported every family in that area with new teepee's!!!!!!!

Well spoken Jason! I agree with all you said. I made the mistake a few times in my younger days of playing the "anchor" of the table, playing like the inexperienced fool that I was. People get pretty pissed when you stay or hit at the wrong time in that situation. Blackjack etiquette is more important than people think!!!Who knows what bars usually have tables open on the weekends? I've gone out with a few people before to play and end up just watching others as there are no open seats. I guess the only one I can think of is the Expressway.
