Every time i leave my cursor over a word for more than a second this pops up and freezes on the screen. Anyone know what this is? Its some sort of popup but it doesnt seem to do anything other than it seems like ive been getting a lot more popups lately (used to get NONE). Even as i type this on the lower part of IE about every 7 or so seconds it acts like its going to a website, after watching it for awhile it says www.screensandthemes.com or something like that, then says its downloading some sort of .gif i cant see the name its only up for like .3 seconds....GODDAMN POPUPS.
EDIT: caught it while it was trying to load it.......here are 2 shots.

Sounds like somebody has a little spyware on their computer. Go download Adaware and Spybot S&D. Run them and see what happens.

yeah its spyware, get adaware run it and you should be good. if that doesn't take care of it run your anti virus and see if it pics it up. and if that doesn't fix it, well, then its time for the big bang theory (reformat or system restore).

alright ill run them all again. We're gunna be installing XP Pro soon so we'll be reformatting anyways but the adaware/anti-virus route sounds good right now i suppose.

i can get rid of it for ya if you trust me with your hard drive. I have spysweeper and ad-aware pro, and lots of other nifty toys. I devirus and remove spyware and fix stuff like you're having for my job. Infact, you can even watch while i do it. Hit me on on a PM if you want.
