Actually we are planning a Trip out to Cali for a week or so late summer for a road course long weekend at the streets of willow, and then one in the middle of the summer to mid ohio, it's expensive, but a blast.Yeah i think road racing will be more fun than drifting, becuae of the stupid people that are being associated with it now
And the autox, yeah i do believe that may be a tentative, but there will Proboably be a few a month, that's all i got now.

Drifting is the art of being at the edge of control on a dry surface whilst engaging in a series of slides. If drifting were as easy as most people think, the competitors would just buy the hardest, non-gripping tires they could find and use them. However, most of them use very sticky tires as they need to have the traction on demand.

I do a lot of road course racing in Brainard and in Elkhardt Wisconsin. If any of you want to come with next year, I can get you more info. I usually go with the Porsche Guys because there more fun, they run balls to the wall, and don't car about wrecking a 250K car.
We run brainard 5-6 times a year, costs between $200-$400 per event, and I run Elkart Lake once a year and that is usually $400 a event. You need to go to the first event and be signed off by a instructor to go to any of the other ones, Usually in late april.
Your allowed to run your car as fast and hard as you want, just as long as you don't hit anyone, they don't like that.
Manditory saftey equipent include a fire estuingisher(can't spell), 5 point harnesses, for both front seats, Snell 100 on better race helmet, and your car has to be soild, no lose parts, everyhting tied down.
Let me know if you need more info, it costs a lot to run, and its maily just for fun, unless you can compete with porsche GT3 Cup cars, I wouldn't wrry about the acutal races.

That does sound like a lot of fun. I want to go watch. Does it cost anything to be spectator?
