Where to get a Diagnostic test?

My engine and tranny are acting very strange. My dad used to be a mechanic back in the day and he can't figure it out. I dont have any clue what it is but I want to get it looked at before it gets bad. Where can I get a Diagnostic Test to check out everything for really cheap? And then what is a good engine shop to look at it? has anyone had good work done in the past? Anyone do good work? And they have people and work to prove it? And trying to keep it cheap.

I'd say Lunde would be able to do a full scan for you. Talk to Raider on here, he is the Service Mgr I believe

dont think advanced can cuz car is to old. i had 92 dsm and they said no. i went to smith motors cuz friends of family. West fargo car clinic is good. cost like 30 i think

yeah they only do it on OBDII cars i believe...but who knows...you coulda just used someones datalogger for your dsm
