I was wondering if they make dual layer dvd-rws yet. My parents own a business and they wanted to get something alittle cheaper than a 10 gig pen drive(which i'me sure they dont even make). Any information about if they make them, and where I can find them would be very helpful.

why dont you just buy a laptop harddrive of whatever size you want and get an external USB2.0 case for it?

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

my dad is set on getting these burnable dvdrws, cuz he travels with his laptop alot, and he wants something to carry easily, but I will mention it to him.
Sorry, it's also for daily data back-up, storing hard drives thatmight not evr get used again might be expensive 🙂

dude its like the size of the credit card...smaller than a CD case...seriously...have you seen a laptop harddrive? its 2.5'' wide, about 2mm thick and about the length of a credit card...the harddrive will be powered with the USB port too...and itll take A LOT less battery power than burning a DVD....and you can get out of it for like $50 and its a portable harddrive...cant really go wrong

no, it's for data back up for her office. She does data entry, and she has walls and walls of cd-rw's, and my dad wants to just burn them all onto a few dvd rws.

well a portable harddrive would be awesome...think about it...dvds scratch...harddrives are a closed off device...only way to break em is excessive shock(well theres more but they are rare)
