Looks good! Doesnt he also have plans for some engine work?
-
Alright i got the details today
It was USAC......he was in the 150-300 class..

I think[U] your boy lied to you. Only Nathans I can find in their world finals results pages are for SPL, not Sound Quality. I don't doubt he has won many awards in stereo competitions, he just (as far as I can tell) didn't take third at world finals.
I searched the 2002 to 2005 world finals (as you said it was relatively recent). Would have gone back to the 2000 or 2001, had there been a USACi world finals those years (they were doing a co-op finals with IASCA those years)
Don't believe me, check here http://www.soundoff.org/result.htm
I'd still like to talk to the guy and see his setup some time.

yeah his name is Bryan.....he has like 30 trophies to prove everything.....everything he has is Image Dynamics......everyone at Site on Sound knows him pretty well....he did the install and everything himself though.....
he has 4 10's......i think 8's in his kick's......and like 3 sets of components with a digital EQ.....and shit like that....i can take some pics of his setup if you'd like...

Here we go ....i found it in 2002....Brian McClean....i dunno how to read this shit....but he got third either way since he has all the trophies and everything.
-
oops forgot the link

yeah thats what it looks like.....but anyways...he has the trophy of 3rd place....its like 7 feet tall...
tony i'm sure nathan has seen it too if you dont beleive it.

yeah....either way its damn impressive

Hey, I stand corrected. I'd still like to talk with the guy sometime. Not very many of us from this area have competed at finals (I built an SPL car that made it, but it got t-boned prior to finals...car was owned by my brother-in-law) and its been years since I went to spectate ('97 I think.) I'm impressed no doubt, and the only reason I asked to verify was because I've heard from a lot of other people before about how "Yeah, I had the best sounding car in the world...blah blah" and when you ask for proof they never can back it up. I'm really glad to hear this guy is legit. We need more people like him to get the car audio world back in line and away from huge bass monsters that sound like ass. Tell him I personally said congrats and that I'm sorry I had initially doubted his claim.

hey no problem chuck.....and he said that he got 5th in 2002...and 3rd in 2003...he never competed this last year....but will be competing again this year.....with a new setup hopefully....maybe even attend some car shows...
