Need Networking help

I hooked up my laptop to a wireless router and the internet works...the desktop is wired to the router and the internet works on there also....I see the laptop and desktop pc's in the workgroup but I cant access them from the other pc....it says that I cant access that pc...how do I fix it

Make sure Microsoft Networking is turned on for both, and that your firewalls on each computer allow for it

I run zonealarm on each machine could that be my problem?

how do u turn on ms networking?

Yeah zone alarm could actually be your problem

i've had the same problems with just my desktop and laptop...i can access the files on my desktop from my laptop but not vice versa...they are both setup exactly the same...all the files shared and everything is enable to allow full control...i can see the computer but just cant "connect" to it...its frustrating

oh and the worst part is i know its somethin really small and stupid that im just overlooking too...

Its most likely user permissions... check to see if simple file sharing is ^ for tony that is...

well its fixed..it was user permissions...thanks Jim for the headsup
