Does anyone know if Rapid City, SD has a forum like this? I am moving to Rapid in a couple months and want to know what the scene is like out there and what they have for Import Performance shops, etc. Thanks

www.siouxfallsracing.com as far as i know thats the closest thing to rapid city...i know there are a lot of rapid city members on there as well...its been awhile since i've been on there so there just might be a rapid city forum by now but that would be the first place to look IMO

i believe www.rapidcityracing.com is the website for it. i lived out there for 9 months when i went to school. there aren't any import shops they all do most of there own work and go to excessive for the stuff they can't do for the most part, but they are very knowledgeable people out there that know there stuff and are usually willing to help fellow import tuner out. enjoy the area out there it is beautiful. i might go back out there some day. are you going for school? to SDSMT? or what?

My family is moving out there. We have some friends out there and my family is big into the rock crawling stuff. My dad, mom, and older sister are all members of the black hills 4 wheelers club and what not. So we are just going because. My older sister, her bf, me and my gf are going to get our own apt. and my parents and lil sis are getting there own place. Will be great time. The weather is pretty much always nice, very very minimal bugs, the land view is beautiful. I LOVE IT COMPARED TO FARGO. Just if it had a tintmasters now i would be set

Maybe you can talk Tintmasters into expanding out there........:p

yeah its really nice out there. the year i was out there i wore my winter coat once. i kinda miss it out there sometimes, but fargo isn't bad either.

I should try lol It seems to me that they have the scene but now much for shops. I know two kids out there one has a newer escort zx2 with some shit(not the best car but for a zx2 its nice) and then my other buddy that I went to school with in elem. has a fully built integra with a JDM type r swap and a shit load of crap. I guess it does 10's and reds at like 11500 or something. Its a race motor. And he has a civic with a SiR swap or something. So i know they have this stuff.

I still need my swap anad all my goodies and I dont want to come 10 hours back to fargo to spend 3 grand on the swap alone.

yeah, as i said, there are a lot of guys out there that know there stuff. last time i checked, couple months ago, they didn't have any import tuning shops. they do all of there own work.

excessive autosports...it used to be a really good shop...i'm not sure how it is anymore...i personally think joey is spreading himself too thin maybe but i haven't heard much of them since GSR got his manifold...

joey is very talented himself, but as psied said, he is really taking on too much work last i heard. i dont know if he has taken care of that problem or not though.

I agree Fargo > Rapid City. My family lives in Sioux Falls and it is nice there too.

I dont know for exactly what his red line is but it is more then 10,000 and yes it does do tens. The kid has money. He owns the BMX track in boxelder(sp) and his dad is the vice president of some big business crap. His crap didnt come from rapid. He bought the car and took it somewhere else and built it.

Sioux Falls has had a larger scene for a longer time than Fargo has. Does excesive have a dyno yet?...

excessive has had a dyno for like atleast 3yrs...and a lot of the scene in sioux falls is DSMs
