Quick correction to mine, JDM S13 Silvia, vented by VIS. If that's not an option, OEM is fine, but I can't guarantee I will go with it. I really want the vent, CA's are known for overheating, so this would help somewhat.

I hate saying this, but I can't commit to buy if it's an OEM style hood. I'm really, really, really wanting a vented/carbon hood, no matter who makes it. And from what I've seen, Seibon doesn't make one for my application.

I know peter. I posted that because once I have all the available hoods listed from Seibon, I will call VIS for the remaining ones. I mean if seibon is out of 40% of the hoods what is the point of asking both at the same time. I should know tom. what they have in total. Then if VIS is out of the silvia vented hood. Atleast you will know that you could,if you wanted to, get the seibon hood. You are going to have to make a fast decision. So I wanted to be armed with the information as fast as possible for you. I have a funny feeling that seibon isn't going to have much more..... But we will find out tom. Seibon is a very odd company. they still do not have an electronic form of inventory. They just have to go out to the warehouse and "look" to see what they have. I don't get it but I really don't care because the hood quality is the best in my opinion.

I hear ya, and please don't think I don't appreciate the help, but this is moreso for the sake of my motor than saving weight.

If I have to make a fast decision on going with the OEM, (and I really hate doing this) then I will have to decline, since the car goes to 5 Star Auto this coming week for an entire respray, and I need as much $$ in case something goes wrong at this point. If it were a month from now, the answer might be different.

Again, I hate to punk out like this having said that I would probably go for it, but I need to play safe.

ok so now I am confused. Do you want me to see if VIS has the vented one. I never said your only choice was Seibon. I am posting up info as I get it. But yes I cannot guarantee how long ANYTHING is going to be available. But if this is going to be a group buy..... we have to get everyone together to pay for thier hoods at about the same time. (or close) So that we can get the group discount. The vendors don't count it as a "group buy" if we ask them for a deal on 17 hoods then order them 1-2 at a time.o over the course of a week or a month. They want it in and out.

But let me know if you want me to check on it for you from VIS. I wasn't raggin. I just wanted to make life easier. I figured if I didn't check then you would want one.... haha. I can never win, so sometimes I have to be told twice.
