i was wondering if all blow off valves can be recurculated. because some off the bov's i have looked at have the "horn" thing on them but i want to recurulate it.

and what are the limits of a 38mm wastegate. as far as what it can hold well

Not all BOV's can be recirculated. If you're looking for a recirculated BOV look into the HKS SS w/ adapter or the greddy type rs with adapter.

Larger wastegates help with low boost control on large turbos. 38mm is fine for most applications.

        so a 38 should be fine for a t3/t4oE .57trim?

the manifold i have has had some complaints of boost creep, would a large wastegate help with this porblem? or would it be best to have the wg setup changed.

38 is more than enough for a 57 trim.
Boost creep complaints are going to be caused by poor wastegate placement on the manifold. I'd buy a new manifold.

im assuming you will be running the Z32 maf correct? you can run that in blowthrough setup without any changes...also you can tune out the problems with venting on a pull through...i have a little write up on for the SAFC...just gotta set the decel functions...pretty straight forward and simple...

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

Vented BOV's are worth a bad idle 🙂

i well be running the z32 maf but not sure about a afc for a while(later this summer), i am going to get a enthalpy ecu.

so a vented BOV causes a rougher idle also? i thought that you mostly have problems during decel. correct me if i am wrong

well you can tune out the idle problems too...

why would spend that much money on an enthalpy ECU when we will be able to tune in town? find out about your daughterboard setup and buy yourself a daughterboard and we will tune it here....

but like i said you can run the Z32 maf in blowthrough as is...i will definately be going with that when i get my new turbo...

how are we going to tune it in town?

                    and what is blowthrough

i have no real clue on how to tune good. any suggestions on place to buy a daughter board? would this be like the biki-rom setup?

bikirom is a realtime tuning rom basically...you interface with the rom chips through your computer and you can tune real time(just make a change and it changes while your in the car)...when you have a rom chipped ecu you have to reburn a chip to make a change...GSR has a rom burner...but one can be had for like $40 if youd like your own...the software is all free for download...enthalpy charges way too much IMO...the chips are around $10 each and you need 2 of em...just reburn em if you need a change...ive played around with ROM EDITOR a little bit last night and today and it seems pretty straight forward. The difference for you is that you need to find the .bin and address file for your KA...search some KA-T sites and see what you come up with...

as for the daughterboard check to see what exactly it looks like and consists of for your KA...if its the same as the S13 one then your set...i found one on ebay today actually with both the chips you need...

as far as blowthrough goes...idk if you've seen under the hood of my car but the maf is BEFORE the turbo which is a pull through setup as the air is PULLED through the maf...in a blowthrough setup the maf is after the turbo in the IC piping cause the air is being BLOWN through...make sense? well your car determines how much fuel to give the motor by how much air is read by the maf correct? well when you have a pull through setup it reads the air right away and is ready for that air to get to the motor with extra fuel, but when your BOV opens up it the air is vented but the fuel is still there for that air cause the car to run really really rich upon decel/in between gear...that can result in stumbling during decel/gear changes....when its blowthrough the air isn't read until it gets to the maf, so the strategy is to put the BOV before the maf so it vents the air BEFORE it gets read so the fuel is not there yet...comprende? im not the uber expert on this stuff but if you wanna talk on aim ever just hit me up

ill dig up the pick i got off you car and look at. with the blow through thing ive never really thought about it becuase everybody i have scene on ka-t and other sits that is making any reasonable amount of power uses a pull through design. ill post up some stuff about why there is a lack off that setup and do some looking at the ecu/tuning sections

would you add the daughter board on to the ecu in the same fasion as you would add a biki rom system on to your ecu? solder a 32bit.......
