                          As far as I remember, that method was originally used on titanium for exhaust and intake piping because you cant bend titanium like other metals. Titanium is used because it is soooo light in comparison to aluminum, steel, or stainless steel. I started to see it be used on time attack cars and some endurance racing cars about 10 years ago. But it has gained alot more acceptance and usefullness today. And it does look very TITTIE!

                              I have pics of that Datsun saved on my comp. Pie cutting gets you a larger inside diameter throughtout the radius of the bend as well as can be used for bends where mandrels aren't tight enough.
