2006 Formula 1 Season
-
I know there are a few F1 fans on here. If we can get enough players, this could be a fun game. There are 18 races, starting with Bahrain on March 12th, and ending in Brazil on October 22nd. A race happens every week or two, of course I will update.
-$20 buy in, winner takes all(I would like the money by the end of March)
-There are 20 teams, with 2 drivers on each team.
-Each player must pick 5 drivers before every race, and place them in the appropriate finish position from 5th to 1st.
-Players can only pick 1 driver from each team.
-Your roster must be pm to me after qualifying and before the race.
-Points will be issued using standard F1 system. You will only get those points if your driver finishes in the position that you've predicted.
-No points for finishing 6th and beyond
-5 points deduction for not finishing a race
EXAMPLE: If you picked driver A to finish 3rd and he ended up finishing 1st, you will not get the points.
1st place: 10 points
2nd place: 8 points
3rd place: 6 points
4th place: 5 points
5th place: 4 pointsLIST OF TEAMS AND DRIVERS:
RENAULT: Fernando Alonso, Giancarlo Fisichella
MCLAREN: Kimi Raikkonen, Juan Pablo Montoya
FERRARI: Michael Schumacher, Felipe Massa
TOYOTA: Ralph Schumacher, Jarno Trulli
WILLIAMS: Mark Webber, Nico Rosberg
HONDA: Rubens Barrichello, Jenson Button
RED BULL: David Coulthard, Christian Klien
BMW SAUBER: Nick Heidfeld, Jacques Villeneuve
MF1: Tiago Monteiro, Christijan Albers
TORO ROSSO: Vitantonio Liuzzi, Scott Speed
SUPER AGURI: Takuma Sato, Yuji Ide
That list is in order of 2005 rankings when season was over, 2006 is a whole different story. New V8 rather than 2005's V10 and tire changes are allowed during races.
Once I have everyone's rosters, will post them to avoid copy cats. If you are interested, please pm me.

why do we have to place them from 1st to 5th? Or is that so we don't all pick the same 5 drivers and all get the same points. Also, can the drivers change after the beginning of the year? IOW can I pick 5, then drop&add 2 before the 2nd race, drop&add 1 before the 3rd race, etc...?
-
The reason i chose to do 5 drivers in the correct spot to get your points is to make this harder and fair. Of course everyone will pick kimi or alonso. Rosters for every race can be different, the 1st race's roster does not reflect the 2nd race's roster.
EX:
1st race:- kimi
- alonso
- button
- sato
- m schumacher
2nd race:
- rosberg
- trulli
- montoya
- button
- kimi
-
Ok, I'm in. I'll get you my roster in the next couple days
-
Ive got ...
- Stewart
- Gordon
- J. Johnson
- Earnhardt Jr.
- Martin

Ok, next question, why only 1 per team? Theres always the possibility of a team finishing 1-2...or is this again a way to limit total points?

i seen a show on ESPN one time where Gordon and Jaun Montoya switched cars, and Gordon was only a second off qualifying by his 3rd EVER lap in a F1 carGordon is good, but 1 second is a lot in Formula 1.

Gordon is good, but 1 second is a lot in Formula 1.Tell Schumacher or Raikonen that. I've seen both qualify terribly and mow em down from the back of the pack. And remember that Gordon did it within 3 laps and NEVER being in a F1 car before. I'm just giving credit where credits due.
