Anybody on here have much experience with the 6.5 Trubo diesel gm used from 92 to 01? I now own a 96 Chevy 2500 Ext cab, long box HD and i only really know the basics on these motors. Like they are built by AM General, used in military HMMMVS, and even tho GM doesnt use them, they are still being manufactured for the military. They also have problems with the PMD(pump mounted driver) which can be relocated to above the intake mani to ruduce heat(already done on mine).

Thats basically all i know about them and would like to know more.

I believe those where the first Duramax versons, and they're junk. The newer ones (I believe 02+ newer) are good. As for any problems, mods, etc....GOOGLE!!!

Um, they have nothing to do with the Duramax. The newer GM diesels, the Duramax is designed by Izuzu and GM and has nothing to do with the old POS diesels GM has ever had.

              Agreed.

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

what do you want to know? be more specific. probably going to be better off going to a diesel place and talking to someone about it then getting info off of a "import" forum. my dad can probably answer your questions but would be better done in person then online.

                PM me for:
                Sandblasting(I use glass beads)
                Diesel repairs or performance products.
