He is arguably the best pro athlete in Minnesota's history. Two World Series Rings, 300+ career hitter, the list goes on and on. And who could ever forget his game 6 performance in the '91 World Series. The catch off the center field "glass" and the homer to force a game 7. What a tragedy RIP Kirby!

Kirby was what I would have to say "My all time favorite" MLB player. I think it was game 2 or 6 that I went to in 91 as a bday present. Still have the penant from the game.

He will be greatly missed that is for sure along with all the other great athletes in the game.

that's a very sad story... in line with alot of the other people on here, he was always my favorite as a young twins fan.

Not a Twins fan and don't really like baseball all that much, but it is too bad that Kirby died, especially at such a young age.

Remember watching him played the Blue Jays in 1996, the only Twins game I have ever been to.

yeah but he also beat his wife, cheated on his wife, dragged that girl in the bathroom to feel on her tits a couple years ago, and pissed in parking lots. that doesnt change just because he died.
