CF Hatch questions
-
I was wondering if anyone knows if you can fix cracked enamel or whatever on a Carbon Fiber piece. I have an opportunity for a CHEAP CF hatch, but really don't want to paint it completely, because the look of CF is too badass to be completely painted over. Here are a few pics of the damage.

looks like it is a crack in the resin and not all the way through so you MIGHT be able to apply a bit of resin to the crack and then buff it smooth. Hard to say w/o seeing it in person though

Tony, it will never look good by trying to (Repair it)
Sorry
-
yeah you wont be able to fix that

why couldn't you just sand it down and clear coat it. or paint over the cracks as said above...

Yeah, thats what I was afraid of, oh well that just means I will most likely buy a seibon when the time comes, but I will have to wait a little longer.
I was just thinking of painting over that part but I think it would be hard to make it look good with that extensive of cracking. I would just as well paint the whole thing and that just wouldn't be the same. Oh well. Thanks for the help.
