I won't disagree w/ that statement for a second. I just think its funny that vikings fans can't accept that GB has a better record. That is the attitude of a REAL Vikings fan. At least some of us don't jump ship when the Vikes don't win like 99slowgsx. Are we supposed to just give up? There is always hope in the "next year" theory. Always. -
I should have been more clear, I am all for sticking w/ your team. However there are several other NFL teams I like as well (Bengals, Bucs, Ravens) so it is nice to have someone else to cheer for. The thing I don't like is when I hear "well, next year we're gonna kick your teams ass because we'll draft some good defenders, fill some key positions, yada yada yada...." It's the same thing year after year after year....how many people do they need to draft? How many key players do you need on an already "star studded" team? Actually, I hope MN wins a superbowl sometime so I can hear them all talk about "we shouldn't have traded so-and-so, now our team sucks" the following year.
I think I said it earlier in this thread, MN has very talented players...maybe some of the best in the league (god it pains me to say that), but they just haven't figured out how to make great players into a great (or even good) team. They show hints of greatness at times, but never find a way to all mesh.
Now, name one great WR, TE, RB, CB, LB, S, DE, Def Lineman for GB. Ahman Green is probably the only other star that GB has, but they managed to lead their division and make things work when they needed to.
I'm not saying my team is better than yours, I'll even concede that Favre has passed his prime. In his prime however he was one of the best QB's in the league. Does he get overpraised by sportscasters, yes. Is/was he a good QB, absolutely. There, end of subject.

so you're telling me the guys who sit half naked @ Lambeau Field in freezing weather wearing only pants and a cheese head aren't football fanatics? How about the guys who dress in black & grey @ Raiders games? Ok, you're right, the only fans are the ones who look like evil crossdressers wearing little pointy hats with braided yellow girly hair coming down the sides of their faces.
