One way or another the Vikes always find a way to shoot themselves in the foot espeically when it comes to post-season games. I have almost lost hope of even going to a superbowl. Ahh well, Green Bay is my backup when the Vikings cant cut it.

I disagree, Favre is out of his prime, no doubt. However my guess is if he had the receivers and RB's that a lot of other teams have he'd still look better than most of todays young QB's (Manning excluded). If GB had a defense that could limit teams to only 1-2 TD's/game maybe Favre wouldn't be forced to attempt to make plays on every down and his QB rating would be higher. But I can't change any of those things so I'll have to take pride in the fact that GB is leading the NFC North and has beaten MN at least once this season....oh and we also have a 75% winning record in Superbowls which is something the vikings will never have (unless they win 16 w/o losing a single one in between....so yeah, they'll never have that) -

wasn't the big gripe all about dennis green just a couple of years ago? wasn't Tice supposed to bring the boys together since he was a player in the past and knew how to work w/ players to make a good team? Last I checked, Green at least got them to the playoffs consistently.What makes you so sure this next "genius coach" will be able to work any better w/ a bunch of egotistical "superstars"?

You cant really call tice inconsistent in missing the playoffs. I mean, if they started today theyd be in, and theres winable games the vikes can pull out(at det, gb, at wash). A favorable schedule. Includin the GB game, i think favres 1-10 or something really bad at the Metrodome. If the VIkes show up every game their one of the best, and if Antoine Winfield returns, it'll give us our shut down cornerback we need to defend Williams, Walker and Coles.
Tice was 1 play away from the playoffs in his 2nd season...But what could get him fired is if he pulls off a 2nd year choke.

Farve is overrated. Period. Has anyone watched a Packers game lately? The defense is on the field with the Packers down like 42-3 when I turn on the tv and the announcers are STILL talking about how Favre is this, and Favre is that. ESPN even ranked him ahead of Dan Marino in alltime QB rankings. OVERRATED!
Packers fans- quit living in the past. You have a three year grace period to bask in a Super Bowl win, not eight.
Tice should be fired. You can't crumble after going 6-0 and then 5-1 two years in a row and expect to keep your job. I love Tice but winning is all that matters.
The Vikes need a defensive minded coach. My vote goes to Romeo Crennel from New England.
Who is egotistical? Moss? Maybe a few years ago. Not today. Culpepper? I don't think so. Who then?
Moss is not overrated just because he threw an interception. Linnehan made a terrible call (put the ball in Culpepper's hands, he completes over 70% of his passes). Last I checked, when healthy, Moss is the most dangerous WR in the game.
And last but surely not least, who the fuck has Minnesota as their favorite team with GB as a backup-favorite team? That's just plain wrong.
There is always hope.
Minnesota's time will come....eventually.

Heh I only watch the vikes and if they lose I watch green bay. I realize they are big rivals and when they play I do hope that the vikes win. Even now I hope the vikes take back the division. Its just after they lose that I cheer for Green Bay. I would rather go for them who are still a team relativly close then go for a team half way across the country. I see the Vikes vs Green bay as a friendly rivalry, not like some of the other teams. "My team lost to so and so.....lets go start a riot"

Friednly rivalry? Ahmad Carrol + Marcus Robinson, Chris Hovan & Brett Favre, so many more rivals in those 2 teams. But theyd laugh at you if you ever told em that. If the vikes dont make the playoffs any year, you just hope you beat the packers.

Seriously I coudnt care less about any personal rivalry on the field. Its football there is always rivalry. I bet you could find that there is always some kind of personal rivalry in any football game, its part of the game. Im talking about a WHOLE Football team against another. I find Green Bay vs Vikes game exeremely fun to watch. In my mind the teams like to play each other because of the rivalry. They have a chance to show up the other team. If they lose do you think they go home and cry about it? No. Do you think they go home and bitch and moan about the loss. No. Its football, you are going to lose. Its just the winning team gets bragging rights. I think us fans blow these "rivalrys" way out of proprotion. Its a fucking game and supossed to be fun. Therefor I can cheer for anyone I please, as long as its fun for me to watch. Anyone who takes a game seriously needs to clam down.
