My car blew up on the way to work.

So this is the story of my night. I hope you all enjoy laughing histerically at my expense, cuz this shit is fucked up.
I left my RV in lisbon at 10:30, since i worked at 11. Stopped by the gas station to get a NOS and a sandwich for break. so i was running a little late. started to accelerate to 40 in a 25. about 50 ft before i get to the 40mph zone a cop flips the cherries on. Pulls me over, gives me a ticket, only like 15 bucks. Sucks, but oh well, i broke the law. Then i was SUper late. only had 15 minutes to get from lisbon to gwinner, park, go to my station, put my boots on and meet up for the department meeting. So I decided to get on it a little bit. I was going about 85(in a 65 and I saw a Deer like 2 feet away in the oposing lane, it scared the shit out of me. I shouldve known to slow down when I saw that but I was an idiot and didnt. instead I accelerated to around 100. FYI dont go 100 for 10 miles in a car that has been leaking oil and is 17 years old. I got about a mile away from work when all of a sudden the oil light came on. I was like "oh, just leaked a little oil, I checked it before I left, so im ok. and then 5 seconds later my rpms started going down and withink 100 feet i was at a dead stop. Car cranked and didnt start. OH well, its just a d series, but this is when the story starts to get good. With only 5 minutes til i had to work, i called in right away and told them what happened. Then I called my girlfriend. She was going to come get me. as I wason the phone with her a brand new white dodge Turbo diedel truck, big lift, 35" suuper swampers, AR wheels, and a straight through exhaust pulls over to the side of the road and asks me if i need help. I asked him if he had a tow strap and he said no, but he lived in lisbon so he would give me a ride home. So i agreed, knowing i didnt wanna sit in my civic for 2 hours waiting for my girlfriend to get here. I gathered the valuable shit in my car and locked it up. ran across the road and literally jumped into this truck. I think yao ming wouldve had a hard time getting in this thing! anyways, we started going, about 5 miles from town i here a crack, chhh, fizz and I was right thinkin it was a beer. This dude was straight up drinking a bottle of beer while he was driving. Kinda looked like he did this every night after work. oh well, he just got off work, he couldnt be drunk yet. specially not off 1. so we get into town and as im getting out of his car, the cab light comes on, revealing a rifle, uncased sitting in the front seat. He tells me to get some sleep and drives off. I just stood there, in awe... I was out in the middle of no where with this guy, he couldve robbed me and threw me out of his car in the middle of no where and no one wouldve known. Oh well im home and thats all that matters. Dad is coming with a dolly tomorrow and the civic will be getting the d15 and dx tranny while the a6 is fully built for boost(LS/Vitara), and maybe mini me'd. Nick, I will be spending some money with you pretty soon! -
TOOOO much to read. That sucks man.
-
that sucks....but its not very uncommon for ppl to carry guns around there...its not like fargo..
and everyone drinks in lisbon....so it wasnt really that big of a deal

-
i tryed to turnthe car off right when the oil light came on. but before i could get the key all the way turned off it died on its own

John, I know aout the drinking and guns, i have just never been around it, so it was weird getting used to it with a stranger in the middle of the night.

Ok, I re-read your post now that I am awake. I do have a stupid question, you stated you were one (1) mile from work, why in the hell did you need to go back home??:icon_scratch: What you should have done is walked your sorry ass the last mile, put in your shift, then dealt with it this am. :icon_shaking2: Fucking kids these days.....:icon_shaking2:
