    It's not about the money.

You can do that with just about ANY car, import or domestic.

However subies ARE pretty pricey to mod.

      Not that pricey.

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

I would figure it would cost less to get a supra in the, say, 10 second range, than a supra. Maybe I'm just stoopid.

Yeah that was a dogbox. How much are DSM dogboxes? Damn near the same price. Does that mean DSMs are spendy to mod? No.

Subaru's used to be pricey when the WRX was first released here because no one had parts. Now it's moreso a myth that they are "pricey" to mod. Really no more expensive than any other car of its class etc. Cars that are pricey to mod are exotics, German cars, Poopra's, and RWD/AWD Nissans(240 parts are getting cheaper now, however).

yes 240sx's are expensive to mod. esspecailly going KA-t, cause barely anybody makes part for them, and the one company that makes IC kits is back ordered 3-4 months constantly and they have 5-6 fabricators. i guess that means i better start welding more and practice

                          PM me for:
                          Sandblasting(I use glass beads)
                          Diesel repairs or performance products.

There are some aspects about subies that are expensive, for example if you want to go with a larger turbo, you are going to have to have a custom kit made since the stock flanges don't really mate up to anything other than IHI based turbos. Also, the FMIC's are generally expensive due to the amount of piping and bends required to install them. After that, they become about the same as everything else on the market...only we get free 740cc injectors.

Subarus are perhaps expensive compared to ... Honda's or DSM's...

But then again the Honda's and DSM's people are modding are 10 years older then the Subaru's.

Expensive to mod include BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, Supra's, anything where the suppliers don't need to compete becuase the people will pay whatever for thier parts...

Thats what I was trying to get at.

It really depends on what car you have, or what you are use to working on.
