Joel, you might want to look at the pics you posted closely. First off, the drivers fender is wayyyyy off and it looks as if the door has come into contact with it ( I spy touch up paint). And that interior is waaayyyyy ghetto. He spray painted the red carpet to black and the dash pad from what I see is a mess along with the console and stereo surround. I'm not saying not to get it but I'd be sceptical.

There is also overspray on the exhaust from what it looks like....

i know, before hopping on a train/plane to get it i am waiting on more pics. I asked him to take 100 plus pics (inside fender wells, door jams, under spare tire, etc.) also, I noticed the drivers fender. just waiting on pics tosee how bad it really is. i also asked him how many accidents it has been in that he knows about, well ee what he says...

If you are serious about getting a mustang that you can build I have a convertible that I have been pondering selling. I am not sure if I want to spend the money that I want on this project or not. Also will be selling a sn-95 I know neither are a 2.3, but neither have spray painted carpet, and both a have a 302 that still run very strong. Neither are practical vehicles for me anymore, as I have to many other toys I need to haul around, with say, something other than a mustang or two.

Good for you for looking around at turbo 2.3s. All I would say is if the owner of that car took "shortcuts" in the body and interior work, then he probably took "shortcuts" elsewhere as well. Could turn out to be a basketcase. For example, that car has been converted to 5 lug, but it was done the cheap way.
If possible, you may want to hold out for an SVO. They were an extremely well balanced car with a turbocharged 2.3L. You could also start with a standard 2.3L Mustang.
If you would like more information, you should sign up on the following forum: www.tcstangs.com
There will be a lot of somewhat local people there with some good advice, quite a number of people there are 2.3 fanatics and could give you far more advice that I could.
