Fargo Tire lost any of my business.

I REALLY hope my eyes were decieving me today....
Was out and about shopping for tires for the Tahoe today and Fargo Tire was one of 3 places I stopped. On the way into the sales department I walked past the open bays and glanced around a bit. First of all, that place looks like a dump and the personelle working look like bums (in my opinion).
Got inside and didn't get a damn bit of service so I walked out and noticed a F150 (97-04 standard cab) in the first bay. They had that truck sitting up on 2 hydraulic jacks - one under the front differential and one under the rear differential. I did not see a single jack stand anywhere around it and all 4 tires were off of it. There is no way you can tell me that's safe. It would take absolutely nothing to knock that truck off those jacks. Looks like they were trying to make due with a stall that didn't have a lift as they were busy as hell. Not only is it stupid for the sake of the people working on or walking around it, but I'll be damned if I want my vehicle put in that position (or worked on by people who think that was a good idea for that matter).
now I understand what kind of people Jim was trying to deal with.
Ended up dealing with Firestone on 4th streeth. Have no complaints with the job done and it was done in a timely manner (although they didn't get to the alignment check like the planned for reasons that were thoroughly explained and I understood) unlike past experiences with Tires Plus (hour and a half turned into three and a half - Firestone took less than an hour).

i took my moms minivan there last week to get the rear two tires repaired under warranty..... on my way home i get onto my gravle road and the back end felt unusualy squirrly for some reason..... i get back to the shop and look at the back tires.... the didnt tighten the right rear tire down at all..... 4 out of the 5 lug nuts were so loose it took about 6 turns for them to even touch the rim.... and the otherone was finger loose also...... needless to say i called them up and wasnt very happy..... there lucky it didnt ruin the rim.... or i would of had to have a lil talk with my lawyer

The best thing you can do for a business is report to a manager the things you see. If you are not satisfied with how they are doing something, especially if it isn't safe, call and speak with a manager. If the business doesn't think that they are doing something "wrong", and you and others do, you need to call it to their attention.

Mentioned my experience to a couple people today. Apparently my boss has dealt with them many times and hasn't had a bad experience. Obviously it will vary with what you consider as quality work and maybe I'm a bit picky...
but yes, Firestone's shop was much cleaner and the individuals working didn't look like they came from under the main ave bridget.
