Groupies suck!

Tonight was the Rob Zombie and Anthrax concert. It was a good show, but half way through the show Megan and I had the surprise of the week.
The band is taking a little break and Rob is introducing all of the band members (they are all new since the last album). He points to the guitar player and says someting along the lines of "If it wasn't for this guy I would have stopped making music, but when he told me he wanted to join the band I knew I had to keep going. Ladies and gentlemen......JOHN 5!!!"
So you ask yourself, so, what was the surprise. The surprise wasn't that John 5 (real name John Lowery) used to be in Marilyn Manson, that he used to play with David Lee Roth, that he used to play for K.D Lang, the list could go on. The surprise is that he was now playing for Rob Zombie. Why is this a surprise? Because John is Megan's cousin (that she hasn't seen in 16+ years) and nobody felt the need to tell her that he had joined Zombie when they knew we were going to the show.
After the show we went around back and walked up to the band's bus driver and Megan politely asked the driver if he would tell John that his cousin was outside. 20 minutes later the band walks out of the civic and heads towards their bus. We approach and Megan looks at John and asks "Do you know Todd *******?"
John gives Megan a strange look for a second then says "Yea, he's my half-brother and we've also been best friends my whole life, why?"
Megan: "I'm his cousin Megan."
John: "Holy shit, I haven't seen you in years."
Just then as we are striking up the conversation we hear a groupie across the street yell "Look, it's John 5"
Random groupies yelling: "holy shit, he's so hot" "oh my god I need to meet him" "oh shit, that is the rest of the band too"
So a HUGE crowd forms and John just gives Megan a little "sorry" shrug, smiles, and starts signing autographs and taking pictures.
Because of these stupid groupies causing a big scene, Megan lost her chance to hang out with her cousin and I lost my chance to hang out with Rob Zombie and his band. Oh well, at least I got autographs.
