I have a degree as an electronics technician. I'm not going to lie and pretend I have a better degree than that. I have a degree in living in a state that continues in the same rut year after year after year. I have a degree of working in the middle class. I have a degree of running my own business for over 4 years. I have a degree in wanting a better future and economy for the state of ND. I probably have done more political research than most of this board combined.

Any other questions on my experience?

I competed (rather poorly) in Basketball, Wrestling (we didn't have hockey) and Track in HS as well.

Iowa state (or the whole state) sucks Chuck so that doesnt count. Wrestling is a plus on the ol resume though.

You know what, I am going to take the optimistic approach this time around. I am hoping that Bush will realize that some mistakes were made and will work towards correcting them. Now that the election is over, he has nothing to lose by admitting to them. Perhaps he will try and involve the international community a little more in the rebuilding of Iraq. Hopefully both sides can put aside political issues and work together to do what is best for our country. We, the voters, deserve that much. Even though this may sound like a flip-flop, I still have hope for Bush. He is my president, and I will stand behind his decisions (even if I don't fully support them) and trust that he is leading the country the best he can. Like John Kerry said, it's time for the healing to begin, it's time to find the common ground that all seemed to be forgotten during the election. It's time to do what is best for this country regardless of what our political allies might think. Basically it's time for America to start kicking a little more ass! To do this, we will need the help of other nations. While I think that removing Sadom (borrowing the spelling from DaveH) from power was a good thing, I think it would go a long way towards winning the peace by inviting more countries to help with the rebuild, if for no other reason so that the insurgents will see that this is truly a world wide effort to HELP their country, rather than a gung-ho US military invasion of their country. IF we can pull this off, we will undoubtedly be restored to our prestige that we once had. If we fail in Iraq we only invite more failure. It's time to rekindle old allies and work towards a common goal of worldwide freedom and peace. It won't be easy, but nothing that is worth it ever is. I just hope that everyone in Washington will share my views and concerns.

I must say, you are by far the most mature non-Bush supporter on this site. I have a lot of respect for that. I also agree with what you have to say. I hope some Liberals can follow your lead. We do need more international support. The question is how do we get that support from other countries? Any ideas?

We need to be honest with them. Tell them we need their help and that we acknowledge we should have had it going in. We need to own up to our mistakes, but stand by our successes. We need to let them know that they are welcome in the rebuilding process, that they are allowed to bid on contracts, that they are needed to help stabilize the region. One or two countries alone cannot stabilize the Arab region. It will take a concerted effort. We need to start being a little more strict w/ Israel too, I'm not saying lose them as a partner, but let them know that firing missles into a crowd of civilians will result in sanctions. We have too many double standards with countries. We need to strengthen our ties w/ other middle-eastern countries (Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, India) so that they may help in the peace process. Right now too many Iraqis see the US "liberation" as nothing more than a holy war, the Western Christian country is invading their homeland in an effort to spread Western culture. We need them to know that we respect their culture and that we don't intend to change the cultures that exist in their homeland, we just want to offer them a chance at freedom from oppression, freedom to not live in fear of their dictator. This will take time, but for America to regain its prestige we must prevail. We must do what is necessary to ensure that our efforts were for the good of all. That is how you end terrorism.

For all the Bush-Haters; look at the Optimistic Side.. It's his 2nd term so it's a for sure only 4 more years.... Unless we get a Jeb Bush.. Now I was think'n how crazy this would be.. Hilary Clinton and Vp runner John Edwards against Jeb Clinton and some other dude maybe let's say Arnold Swarchenager or something; how weird would that be.. HAHA; either way your getting a clinton or a bush back in office.. I just thought that would be kinda comical.

that would be funny...but won't happen. I don't think hillary will get the dem nomination, though I know she'll run. I don't think Jeb will run...ever. I know a lot of people are leaning that way now, but I just don't think he'll do it. Kinda like we'll never have another Kennedy run.
