slow computer.

well ive noticed on my new laptop every once and a while itll get really slow. for instance when you open the start menu it well leave the menu up for like 5min before it closes when it should dissapear almost right away after moving the mouse away. or if you close a program itll stay in the back ground for a while.
also while on the internet everyonce and a while it well so it loading the page but it just like the page needs to update and ill right click on the thing on the taskbar and itll load right up just like normal surfing.
ive had both these problems since i got it and was curious if it something in the setting or what.

sounds like an overdose of spyware and/or viruses
-
or a serious lack of memory

Sounds to me like to much auto-updating/spyware stuff running that shit will eat through available memory like mad. If your spyware search doesn't turn up anything u should go through and check all programs that auto search for updates and turn them to "I will chose when to update" mode

Are you running windows? 'Cause if you are, everything does pretty much. Adobe Acrobat reader is another common one, AOL if you even have it loaded, Most of the Video playback stuff Quicktime/Itunes. I would open up your add/remove programs window and just go through it, you're bound to turn some things up, But run SPybot first
If you have a MAC, you'd better be a graphic designer fag (LankorDie), I would have no idea where to begin.

ya im not a mac guy. i had to use them at school and hate them one button mouses wtf.
ya ive have started removing programs when im bored. have done some off it. never thought about it but ya adobe acrobat does seem to upload all the time just never thought about it much

click <start> <Run> type in "msconfig" click <startup> and basically disable (un-check) everything on there except for things like Nvidia/ATI software and anything related to your antivirus/antispyware.
