New to the site but not new to the scene....

Hey fargostreet,
My name is Ryan and no_slow_clap (Zac) told me to check out the site so here I am.
I have been around the modifying car scene for about 10 years but have been involved in the marketing of many large events on the East Coast for the past couple of years. I have also organized many car shows/meets through out my area but my biggest adventure is organizing a legal gathering for local car enthusiasts to help provide a positive view on what we all enjoy. The event is called the Mid Atlantic MEGA MEET and has been very successful, a little too successful in some people’s eyes. The meets were held the first Saturday of each month and grew to over 1500 cars and 2000 people each event. The Virginia Department of Transportation and the local Police Authority became very worried of how large the event became and actually pulled the permits after our April 2006 meet. I have been working very hard these last couple of months writing proposals for a new permit to get the MEGA MEET up and running again but no good news as of yet. You can check us out on the web at www.megameet.org.
I currently own a 1998 Renaissance Red Twin Turbo Supra and a 2004 RSX Type-S (being transformed to look and perform like Type-R). Here are some pictures for all to enjoy....

That is about it for now and I am off to enjoy the site.

Thanks all for the compliments and I am still living in VA. I am hoping to do a new photo shoot of the Supra once the wheels and suspension go on and then also of the RSX once the JDM DC5 ITR wheels are on. I will post the new pics up here for all to enjoy.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and I am planning to stay around for a bit to see what the scene is like in the middle of the US. Even though we are about 1,500 miles apart, it is cool that we all enjoy the same hobby.
