Had it not been for labor unions using their power, we *probably *wouldn't have many of the benefits we take for granted today such as sick leave, funeral leave, vacation time, holiday pay, overtime pay (though bush is pretty determined to take it away....I lost mine), health insurance, workers compensation, disability insurance, etc, etc, etc.....I'm not saying Unions are perfect, look at the NHL for a union gone bad... But they are great for negotiating for their workers.
