I really feel sorry for miata owners, there isn't SHIT for room in those trunks as it is, now try throwing a 12" sub in there with amp while still retaining the spare tire AND some usable space. Well, I found out just how hard it is to do that today as Weshole and I spent about 10 hours on his enclosure to fit a single Kicker CVR 12 in the drivers side area of the trunk. And it fits like a GLOVE while still retaining ease of install/removal :icon_cheers: Wes will be posting up some pics later tonight/early tomorrow of the unfinished product (still needs final coat of bondo and to be either painted, carpeted or vinyled). Also, feel free to check it out at Perfect 10 this year, it will be in the Veritas section.

Looks good boys! Dammit Wes, I thought you said you were doing a 18" sub?

                  :icon_geek:

Just a thought (altho too late) but would it have been better to put the sub on the passenger side of the trunk to try to offset the weight of the driver?

Battery is located in passenger side of trunk and spare tire mounts on passenger side as well. By going this route we were able to make a full functioning trunk....besides, the sub box is removable if he decides to auto-x

I like it. And there's still a little room for a bottle of water or something.
