metal in my eye

Well, last night I was doing some grinding (and I had safety glasses on). Once I got done I called it a night and went inside. I have horrible allergies so my eyes are always watering/itching/etc... so I rubbed them. Now today I got to go to the hospital and get 3 chunks of metal removed from my left eye. There is still a bunch in there but it is too deep to remove w/o surgery so they gave me some ointment that is supposed to bring it to the surface. I go back in on wednesday to get the rest removed, if it isn't removeable still then i get to get my eye cut open. this kinda sucks. (sorry for spelling errors, this wass typed in the blind)

I had it happen twice in the last 6 months, so I can feel your pain. Literally, its making me cringe. Use the hell out of that ointment though, it helps alot.

Yea use that ointment. I had to get metal cut from my eye, it is no fun at all thats for sure. They had to give me a shot in my eye, and just watching the needle come towards your eye just make cringe and ahhhhhhhhh its no fun.

That shit hurts, never had any metal in there like that though. Maybe you should invest in some better safety glasses?

I took my glasses off and rubbed my eye. I had metal shavings on my hand.

that sucks. my dad has had metal in his eye. and also hit by a spring in the eye as well

That sucks, I figure it's only a matter of time before it happens to me. The other tech that I work with got metal in his eye last week.

Done that before. Ripped apart some kids hub at work to rebuild it once and low and behold metal shavings everwhere. Got a metal sliver in my hand, shit in my eyes stuff everwhere.:icon_silent:
