You might be faster because you have the 5spd, but "respectable" isn't a word I would use with a stock 5spd GA GT 4cyl. The 2.4s are "ok" motors but I would never play with one. Figure out a swap with an ECOTEC from the newer Cavi's and GA's. It's probably the most worthwhile motor you could put in your car. If you really want, check out www.l67swap.com. I don't know how easy it is to put an L67(Supercharged GTP motor) in an older GA but Brian would be able to help ya out.

Ecotec all the way, and i stand corrected, there are 5-spds, wow. Ive been at college for 2 months now and this is the first thing ive leard there the whole time!
