I am working like mad to get my BMW E30 buttoned up and ready for Brainerd next friday. Part of this is a new exhaust system from the head to the tips. The rear muffler section won't make it here in time, but I've got my headers ready to bolt up, and some proper exhaust clamps and an X-pipe.

What i need is something completely disposable and temporary from the x-pipe on backwards, and a shop that doesn't mind working with track-prepared cars (i.e. no whining about lack of a catalyst), who can turn around this project in about 1 day. I show up with a car that has headers and a pile of rusty factory parts, i leave with a car that has a quiet enough system to not get me arrested and its either clamped or bolted together - no welds on my good parts - so i can fix it up properly when my real cat-back section arrives in a few weeks.

This shop should be competent with creating flanges for bolt-up fittings or flares for use with clamps. If they had some clamps handy that'd be a bonus 🙂

    Anyone have a recommendation?

ive only dealt with exhaust pros and would never do it again. terrible welds and nasty crush bends. alot of people can vouch for the "downstraw" they made me. it sucked

you could try FM exhaust they are pretty good guys to work with there and if it was for a track car I'm pretty sure they wouldn't mind, they've been really easy to work with every time I've been in.

              Minute ricer!

Why does everybody brush their teeth before going to the dentist but never wash their car before bring it to me??
